CAYCE, S.C. (April 3, 2024) – More than 600 natural gas customers in Myrtle Beach communities are now eligible for free energy-saving products and services. Dominion Energy recently hosted a kickoff event in Myrtle Beach to inform residents of the Neighborhood Energy Efficiency Program (NEEP), which offers energy efficiency home assessments and other products and services to eligible customers.
Customers began receiving information on how to participate in March. Installations in homes will begin in the coming weeks and will continue through the end of May. Dominion Energy South Carolina started NEEP in 2013 to provide eligible residential electric customers with energy education and direct free installation of energy-saving improvements. The program was first introduced to natural gas customers in Florence in 2023.
“We’re excited to offer this program to our natural gas customers after years of success in our electric service areas,” said Deidre Watts, program manager of Dominion Energy’s Neighborhood Energy Efficiency Program. “Our work is continuing across the state, offering customers education on energy conservation and products aimed at improving the energy efficiency of their homes.”
