CAYCE, S.C. (June. 14, 2023) –Dominion Energy is urging customers to be aware of solar sales representatives posing as Dominion Energy employees or contractors. Dominion Energy does not install residential solar panels and does not partner with solar companies to offer systems or equipment.
“Some solar sales representatives may use misleading or high-pressure sales tactics when calling or visiting customers door to door,” said Danny Kassis, general manager of new business and customer solutions for Dominion Energy South Carolina. “If they are considering making a significant investment in rooftop solar, we strongly encourage Dominion Energy customers to shop around, do their homework and consult with an experienced solar contractor to determine the best system for their property and home energy needs.”
When searching for solar panel installation, be sure to obtain bids from a minimum of three contractors, ask about the contractor’s previous solar installation experience and request examples of previous work and/or references from other customers.
