  • Program Lauded for providing customers with $1.2 million in rebates
  • Recognition for contributions to clean energy
  • Program boosts home comfort, long-term value, lower energy bills

CLEVELAND, April 12 — Dominion Energy Ohio is proud to announce it has received the 2023 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Award – Energy Efficiency Program Delivery from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy. Dominion Energy Ohio was recognized for its Home Performance with Energy Star program, a residential home energy assessment program.

The award recognizes companies that have made outstanding contributions in the transition to a clean energy future. “Our company is committed to achieving net zero by 2050 and energy efficiency will be key in helping us deliver on our promise. We’re glad our customers are taking advantage of this program to help them manage their environmental footprint,” said Mari Cyngier, energy efficiency program coordinator.

Dominion Energy Ohio’s Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® Program helps customers boost their home’s comfort and long-term value, while keeping energy bills in check. Customers take part in an energy audit to evaluate how their home is using – and possibly wasting – energy. Customers can earn up to $1,250 in rebates for eligible improvements. To take advantage of the program, customers may call 1-877-287-3416 to schedule an assessment or visit for program details and eligibility information.

Since 2016, the program has helped customers collectively save 158,489 MCF of natural gas, resulting in fewer carbon dioxide emissions by an amount similar to what 1 million gallons of gasoline would produce. “Dominion Energy Ohio will continue to develop tools our customers can use to conserve energy. We plan to expand our menu of green energy programs in 2023 and 2024,” said Dan Weekley, president, Dominion Energy Ohio.

ENERGY STAR award winners lead their industries in the production, sale, and adoption of energy-efficient products, homes, buildings, services, and strategies.
