CAYCE, S.C. (Feb. 10, 2022) – Some South Carolina businesses have a new incentive to save energy, but they will need to act quickly. Eligible businesses can already receive thousands of dollars toward energy efficiency projects with Dominion Energy’s EnergyWise for Your Business program. However, customers may be eligible for an additional 20% incentive if they apply before March 31. Projects must be completed on or before Oct. 31 to qualify.
EnergyWise for Your Business offers financial incentives and technical assistance for eligible non-residential electric customers to replace eligible aging, inefficient equipment and systems with energy-efficient technologies. Participating customers can apply for up to $100,000 per eligible project type and customer tax ID annually, subject to terms and conditions. Project types include lighting, HVAC/motor, food service, high-efficiency equipment and custom. Most projects require pre-approval.
“Now is a great time for any eligible business that was thinking of applying and participating in the program to take advantage of this promotion and all it has to offer,” said Annika Goodson, program manager. “Most projects will require pre-approval to qualify, so customers should connect with us. We can help them in advance to determine the best approach to optimize the available financial incentives.”
The program offers predetermined incentives for a wide selection of proven energy-efficiency technologies, including:
There are additional program offers for incentives for more complex and site-specific, energy-efficiency projects, including:
