CAYCE, S.C., July 20, 2020 – Dominion Energy South Carolina’s Home Energy Check-up is going virtual. Free in-home consultations with energy experts by video chat or telephone are available for residential electric and natural gas customers to help identify ways to improve their homes' energy efficiency.
“Like everyone else, Dominion Energy is finding ways to adapt to a new normal during the coronavirus pandemic,” said Ginger Greenway, manager of Energy Information Services for Dominion Energy South Carolina. “We’re taking creative and innovative approaches to engage with our customers, including making sure that energy-saving services that used to be provided in person are still accessible.”
Greenway said, “As people continue to spend more time inside, it’s a great time to focus on their homes’ energy efficiency. We’ve received feedback from customers, and they express interest in continuing consultations virtually. During a virtual consultation, we will look at a home’s past energy usage, have the customer walk us through the home to identify areas of improvement, and provide recommendations.”
