Grant application window closes Sept. 15
CAYCE, S.C. (Aug. 5, 2025) – Nonprofit organizations in South Carolina can now apply for grants
from the Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation.
The fall grant application period will close at 5 p.m. EST, on Sept. 15. Funding is available to
organizations which operate in areas where Dominion Energy provides electricity or natural gas
in South Carolina. Recipients will be announced in November.
Grants will be awarded to support programs and specific projects focused on human needs,
environmental stewardship, education, and community vitality. The foundation accepts grant
requests twice per year – once in the spring and once in the fall.
“Neighbors helping neighbors has always defined who we are in South Carolina,” said Dominion
Energy South Carolina President Keller Kissam. “Whether it is recognizing individual community
needs, recovering from natural disasters, promoting our natural resources, or equipping our next
generation for success, our local non-profits are our true partners in providing the energy to truly
empower our communities.”
Grant applicants must register their organization with Benevity prior to completing the application.
The foundation will host virtual office hours in August and September to answer questions from
nonprofits about the grant application process, timeline, applications, and the Benevity platform.
