Dominion Energy Expands Free Energy-Saving Program to Fairfield County Customers
More than 100 people attended kickoff event in Jenkinsville
CAYCE, S.C. (Oct. 13, 2025) – More than 100 Dominion Energy customers in the Fairfield County communities of Jenkinsville, Blair, Monticello and Winnsboro recently attended a kickoff event in Jenkinsville for the Neighborhood Energy Efficiency Program (NEEP). They were among the more than 500 customers in the area who are eligible for free energy-saving products and services through NEEP, which offers home assessments, on-site education and installation of energy-efficient products to income-eligible customers.
Customers began receiving information on how to participate in September, with installations in homes beginning in October and continuing through December. Dominion Energy representatives will complete installations at no cost.
“Our team is working with customers across our service area to deliver practical tips and products with the aim of reducing their energy use and lowering costs over time,” said Derek McDaniel, who manages the program. “Through NEEP, we meet customers where they are and provide free energy assessments and upgrades that make energy efficiency more accessible. We were pleased to see so many customers in Jenkinsville and neighboring communities express interest in taking advantage of this program.”
Energy-saving products available to program-eligible residential customers include the following:
- LED light bulbs
- Faucet aerators and low-flow shower heads
- Electric water heater wraps and pipe insulation
- Advanced smart power strips
- Door sweeps and weatherstripping for doors and windows
- HVAC air filter replacement
- Digital wall thermometers
Since its launch in 2013, NEEP has helped Dominion Energy customers across the state reduce electricity usage through direct-install improvements and energy education. Over the past decade, customers have saved enough electricity to power approximately 112,000 homes for a year.
Dominion Energy offers a comprehensive portfolio of EnergyWise programs that work together to increase overall energy efficiency and reduce energy usage. For more information about these programs, visit DominionEnergy.com/Savings or call toll-free at 877-510-7234.
