Dominion Energy Internship Defines Career Path for South Carolina Native

08/06/2025

CAYCE, S.C. (Aug. 6, 2025) – When Jerico Arambulo began a summer internship at Dominion Energy last year, he did not know what career path he would take after college. He was on the road to success just one year later.

Jerico Arambulo, business analyst at Dominion Energy

Now a full-time business analyst in electric operations at Dominion Energy’s Cayce campus, Arambulo sees his path from intern to employee as a testament to the company’s commitment to investing in students and young professionals.

Born in the Philippines and raised in Dillon, South Carolina, Arambulo moved to Columbia to study computer engineering at the University of South Carolina. After joining Dominion Energy as an intern in June 2024, he quickly earned a part-time position during his senior year.

“Even as an intern, I wasn’t just observing. I was contributing to meaningful projects,” Arambulo said. He described valuable hands-on experience, including assisting with customer projects. “I was given the opportunity to support renewable energy initiatives, including massive data studies that shape how clean energy is delivered across our state.”

His passion for technology and efficiency was a perfect match for the company’s commitment to innovation.

“During our team project, I quickly realized that innovation is at the heart of everything we do at Dominion Energy, and that’s when it clicked for me,” Arambulo said. “I knew right away that I could grow here and contribute to something that matters.”

Arambulo credits his team and mentors for their guidance and support.

“My team didn’t just show me how to do my job but how to do it with excellence. I learned the importance of building relationships not just on your team, but across departments because those connections open doors,” he said.

Dominion Energy welcomed nearly 300 interns this summer in South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia. Arambulo is one of more than 75% of Dominion Energy senior interns who are offered full-time employment each year. For more information visit Careers.DominionEnergy.com.
